7/4/2016. When lightening a body or redistributing the weight of the body here's a little trick that might be helpful in determining the thickness of the body and where. Re: 1:64 scale HO Slot car resin bodies. It depends on how you cast the body. I always use two piece molds which allows me to cast the mounting points into the body. You can see the mounting points in the second to last photo. The Pronto Cruiser molds were made using a diecast for the master. First find a diecats body that has the wheelbase you want or an existing TJET body you want to reproduce. There are two ways for the 1st step. Some people grind out and mount the diecast to a tJET first and make the inside mold ( also called male mold) and some people make the outside mold (also called female mold) first.
